Crystal Valley Chemical Warehouse Building
Greystone Construction was proud to serve as the general contractor for Crystal Valley Cooperative’s new Liquid Fertilizer & Chemical Facility in Madelia, Minnesota. Having completed multiple projects together, this facility reflects a trusted partnership built on communication, technical expertise, and shared commitment to serving growers across south-central Minnesota.
Expertly designed by Linner Morschen Architects and constructed using a Nucor Building Systems pre-engineered metal building, the 45,000-square-foot warehouse is far more than a storage facility—it is a state-of-the-art agronomy hub engineered for speed, safety, and operational efficiency. Powered by Kahler Automation, the facility features unstaffed 24/7 loadout bays, iPad-enabled control systems, rapid 10-minute semi fills, and strategic rail integration to support Crystal Valley’s expanding service area.
Greystone partnered closely with Crystal Valley throughout pre-construction, project management, and full-time onsite supervision. Our team coordinated all subcontractors—including several proud ABC members—provided proactive guidance, and ensured the complex systems, containment measures, and regulatory requirements were integrated seamlessly into the design and construction.
Crystal Valley has a long-standing relationship with Greystone Construction, partnering with them on multiple expansions and building projects throughout the years. Their commitment to excellence, high-quality work, and strong communication make them an easy choice when selecting a general contractor. On the Madelia project, Nick Jeurissen and his team exceeded our expectations once again, demonstrating exceptional professionalism, safety, and expertise.
