Greystone Leadership Team

  • Kevin O’Brien

    CEO / Principal

    In 1987, Kevin founded Greystone. His guidance and focus on high-quality craftsmanship, safety, and customer service has grown Greystone from a start-up to a well-established and versatile general contractor.

    Kevin has an MBA in Finance from the University of Minnesota and a BS in Construction Management from the University of Wisconsin, Stout.

  • Gordie Schmitz

    President / Principal

    Gordie joined Greystone in 1993 and has since established an exceptional team of project managers and estimators. Gordie’s areas of expertise span the entire construction process and Greystone’s delivery methods.

    Gordie has a BS in Construction Management from Minnesota State University, Mankato.

  • Eric Bender

    V.P. of Construction Operations / Principal

    In 1995, Eric joined Greystone beginning as a tradesman working on commercial and industrial projects. Eric’s knowledge of field operations and his management style has made him a respected leader at Greystone.

    Eric has a BS in Construction Management from Minnesota State University, Mankato.

  • Colin O'Brien

    V.P. of Business Development / Principal

    Colin grew up in the construction industry and officially joined the Greystone team in 2004. Colin has a plethora of experience having served as a Laborer, Estimator, Project Coordinator, and Business Development Manager.

    Colin has a B.S. in Construction Management from Minnesota State University, Mankato.

  • Brian Kreuser

    V.P. of Construction Execution / Principal

    Brian joined the Greystone team in 1999 through an apprenticeship program at the Shakopee High school. With 20+ years in the construction industry, he is highly knowledgeable with hands-on experience. He is responsible for field labor scheduling, overseeing all in-house labor operations, training crews, equipment management and more.

  • Gary Grahek

    CFO

    Gary has vast financial knowledge and experience in the construction industry. He is responsible for forecasting, financial reporting, auditing, and management of risk.

    Gary has a BS in Accounting from St. Cloud State University.

  • Vana Greischar

    Director of People Operations

    Vana grew up in the construction industry and has a passion for the people and processes that drive success within an organization. She joined the Greystone team in 2020 and leads the operational functions of Accounting, IT, and Human Resources. Additionally, Vana consults with and supports the leadership across all aspects of the organization.

    Vana has a BS in Business Management from St. Cloud State University, a Masters from the Carlson School of Business at the U of M, and a certificate in Construction Management from the U of M.
