Greystone Construction Wins Behlen Awards

SHAKOPEE, MINNESOTA – Behlen Building Systems recently named the winners of the annual Building of the Year contest. Greystone Construction, Inc. of Shakopee, Minnesota received honors for one the projects they completed last year. They also received recognition for achieving $600,000 in sales volume with Behlen (an engineered metal building manufacturer) making them one of the top 25 building systems customers for 2013.

Greystone Construction received honors from Behlen Building Systems for a metal building project completed last year and for being one of Behlen's top 25 customers in 2013.

Greystone Construction also received first place in the environmental facilities category for the Dem-Con Recycling building in Shakopee, Minnesota. This building is almost 55,000 square feet, and it was designed around the sorting and conveyor equipment. David Linner of Minneapolis, Minnesota is the architect.

Several individuals from Greystone Construction accepted these awards at the Behlen National Builder Meeting in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic in February including Kevin and Suzanne O’Brien, Tom and Jill Waldren, Gordie and Ann Schmitz, and Eric and Kate Bender.

In addition to being a top Behlen customer, Greystone Construction is represented on the Behlen Builder Advisory Council (BBAC) with Kevin O’Brien as the current active member. The council is made up of eight customers selected to serve as representatives for more than 250 builders located across the country.
